Haircut

by Stephanie on July 14, 2010

It is time to cut the girls’ hair. They go through phases of what they allow us to do. Many things we have resorted to wrestling them down to change diapers or stick on a band-aid and things like that. But you can’t do that when cutting hair, as it involves sharp scissors and flailing arms and legs all over the place aren’t a good idea.

The last time I cut their hair was early this year, and by some miracle they cooperated. Unfortunately, Sophie is going through a big NO phase right now. And she even speaks for Sarah, who has been more cooperative with these things lately. Last week I tried to cut Sarah’s hair, but Sophie started “protecting” her Sissy, and I decided it wasn’t safe.

Back when neither of them cooperated, we resorted to cutting their hair in their sleep. Someone named DADA absolutely butchered Sarah’s hair! I came across these pictures of her at the park. This was after many late-night trimming sessions to attempt to fix her hair. I’m pretty sure that Sophie’s bangs (last pic) were left longer to avoid poor Sarah’s look.

Hi Steph!

This would be what we Chinese called the coconut hairstyle – kinda like you just cover your child’s head with a coconut shell and then cut accordingly :P But, they look cute no matter what hairstyle! :)

Btw, I just tried a fix on the commenting. Can you retry when you are free – just to see whether you can comment or not? Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog today. SITS has just opened a whole new world for me.
You MUST take the time to treat yourself and play again. After the kids are in bed. you need a girl’s night out not a Mommies night out.
May the craks and bams be with you!

Steph, your girls are adorable! Love the twin stuff. I am an identical twin. It is the most wonderful blessing! I pray your girls will grow to be as close and me and my twin are and have always been.
I am so glad you saw my post regarding your tutorial. I love my bead bracelet and will be making your necklace next!

I’ve never been able to cut hair. It always ends up lopsided. Congrats to you on your infinite patience and ability! SITS sent me by, and I’m glad they did…

What adorable girls! I haven’t had to cut my little guy’s hair yet, but I’m sure it will be a challenging moment :-)
